    The Enterprise Data Architect develops implements and maintains policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and governance processes that promote the effective and productive use of structured data in our corporate information system

    This individual is responsible for the development and maintenance of the enterprise data model and corresponding architectural implications. This individual will lead project team members to define the architecture and set direction for how to support the information/data needs of the enterprise and overall Master Data Management and governance plans.

    Responsibilities include the overall information architecture design across multiple data types and across multiple platform types (operational, analytical, reporting) balancing the need for access against security, analytics and performance requirements.

    This individual focuses primarily on enterprise information requirements: design, access, usage and coordination of stewardship across the business to ensure an enterprise view and consistency.This includes, promoting good data management practices, teaching data owners/stewards how to monitor data quality, and evangelizing the benefits of data management to business, functional, and technical leaders. These activities are intended to ensure that corporate decision-makers have confidence in the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of data.  

    The position also requires an understanding of emerging global regulatory issues surrounding information assets (such as customer privacy laws, data retention policies, outsourced data and specific industry guidelines).

    Also included is the development or use of process models, creation or use of information or target data models, interface designs, and development of audits and controls to ensure proper governance, security and quality of information assets in line with corporate policies.

    This individual  will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of  IT’s Analytics offerings.   This includes developing the service, establishing processes and protocols to provide self-service analytics to requesting organizations, and coordinating all aspects of the Analytics environment.

    Job Responsibilities include:

    Guiding the organization to manage enterprise data and analytics for business value

    Develop governance and management practices for information throughout its lifecycle

    Responsible for the technologies, processes, and capabilities that support governance, management, and analytics

    Promote leading practices and skills for data management

    Develop master data guidelines and practices

    Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which may include an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies and taxonomies.

    Aware of leading practices in data analytics, through research, networking, and education

    Essential Qualifications:

  • 5-8years of experience in SAP IT department and / or SAP consulting positions
  • Proven expertise with data management, data architecture, analytics and database systems
  • proven record of professional progression and a broad understanding of SAP. 
  • future focused, willing to embrace new SAPtechnologies such as S/4 HANA.
  • experience in different business environments and IT related systems
  • Familiar with an international, multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience translating business needs into project requirements  
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills

Desired Qualifications:

-Demonstrated knowledge of data technologies, such as data modeling, data quality, or metadata management tool

-Knowledge in SAP S/4, HANA Enterprise, development and/or support

 -Experience in chemical manufacturing or process industries


  • B.S. in Computer Science,  Engineering, Business, or related scientific application
