Manages the IT training life cycle, including needs analysis, training design and development, instructional delivery and development of tools for IT professionals and end-users, and training systems operations and analysis. Responsible for management, maintenance, and communication of the overall training services and framework, while supporting strategic planning, implementation, and improvement of the talent development functions.
•20% Manages the development of educational solutions across all delivery types for the organization. Implements and manages a skills management and competency development process for the IT professional staff and end-user community. Provides consulting and feedback to leaders for the programs and training based on changes in the business environment and training and development best practices. Directs the activities of staff in relation to vendor communications, event planning, and the development and implementation of training materials. Ensures proper setup, maintenance, and materials management for training classrooms.
•20% Ensures capability of technology is maximized through effective training, resulting in transfer of knowledge and skills that support organizational needs. Manages the front-end, needs assessment and requirements gathering functions to identify performance requirements, knowledge, and skills and abilities needed by the organization or a specific segment of the organization's workforce. Manages the evaluation, maintenance, metrics, reporting, and quality assurance of all programs, and oversee the implementation of each program ensuring alignment to strategic plan.
•20% Identifies business and subsequent training drivers for the organization and identifies technology drivers for the analysis of roles and their associated skills and competencies. Ensures comprehensive, systematic approach to instructional and e-learning design to meet business and technical needs and that incorporates best practices in adult learning.
•20% Oversees the cost/benefit evaluation of building new training programs internally as compared to seeking external sources in the selection and usage of various training delivery systems and certification/testing methods. Assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of each program. Manages the collection and analysis of training event utilization data for input to the budget, as well and for strategic decision making for training offerings. Monitors expenses and makes decisions regarding budgeting and vendor selection.
•20% Directs the activities and provides guidance/leadership to staff. Assesses talent needs and ensures staff talent is aligned to business need. Responsible for effective collaboration and communication across teams. Communicates and enforces corporate-wide, divisional and departmental policies and procedures. Works with other members of department to set strategic direction.
