Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own all technical aspects of the Digital platform ensuring maximum system availability and rapid delivery of projects, features, enhancements and fixes to ensure competitive User Experience. 
  • Oversee and evolve a complex digital marketing platform comprising of partner powered and in-house systems.
  • Lead consolidation of marketing/consumer engagement technology platforms across multiple websites underAdobe Experience Manager.
  • Partners with the Business Stakeholders and Leadership to oversee Digital Platform roadmap to supportDigital transformation across various Mattel brands
  • Key Development Delivery Responsibilities
    • Responsible for end-to-end Technical delivery (design, dev, test, roll-out)
    • Ensure high quality, high availability of the digital platform
    • Tier 3 Support, enhancement and maintenance activities
    • Manage multiple vendors and technology providers for successful delivery of projects and transform Mattel Digital platform
    • Provides vision, leadership, mentorship, and direction for the Global IT Digital Platforms team.
  • Maintains a strategic view of the digital commerce landscape, keeping current with industry best practices and making recommendations to achieve business goals and revenue targets.
  • Collaborates with IT and Business peers to support a true omni channel platform with Operations, Retail, Finance, and Business Intelligence capabilities
  • A data driven leader who proactively identifies opportunities to enhance site experience through analytics and innovative technologies.  Acts as trusted partner to business leaders.
  • Provide transparency and regular status to business and IT executives by establishing and continuously improving KPIs

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in system design and architecture for Direct-to-Consumer Web/Mobile platforms
  • Expertise in Web/E-commerce and Omni-channel marketing technologies is strongly desired
  • Experience leading complex online touchpoints including familiarity with web application security and compliance practices is required
  • Solid business acumen and deep understanding of business processes in a direct-to-consumer environment; Candidate should be Business savvy and technically strong and should have experience supporting and managing multiple business leaders/stakeholders representing multiple brands.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex, enterprise-wide projects.
  • Strong personal leadership skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and to meet deadlines with sense of urgency. Experience leading distributed teams and managing multiple sourcing relationships along with in-house teams is essential.
  • Familiarity with latest web stacks, React, Angular, JS, HTML 5, CSS and Web Content management, cross-device, mobile is desired
  • Ability to work effectively at both the strategic and tactical execution levels.
