Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas CityProvides internal audit coverage of the IT functions of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and its branch offices through liaison assignments and audits in order to provide management with independent, objective assurance designed to identify control weaknesses and recommend improvement opportunities for Bank operations. Assists the Bank in meeting its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.Key Activities:
Lead all types of audit attentions, special reviews, and program/project coverage of the IT functions of the Bank. May also lead or assist on audit attentions of operational functions of the Bank.
Assist or lead audits, special reviews, and/or program/project coverage by performing the following tasks: establish audit scope, objectives, timelines, and resources; develop audit programs; understand and assess business area risks; conduct interviews with client staff/management; build relationships and maintain ongoing communications with business areas; analyze data and business processes to evaluate and verify compliance with established policies and procedures; determine if internal controls and processes are effective; and identify efficiencies in operations.
Prepare accurate, well-written workpapers, audit observations, and written audit reports that comply with division policies and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Determine audit findings and communicate to management. Provide recommendations on possible courses of action to resolve problems and implement decisions to help the Bank improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes.
Leverage software tools and utilities to query, extract, and analyze data.
