If you're interested in being a part of an extraordinary mission, working with our customer who runs the DoD's largest supercomputing centers and operating some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world, we could use your experience and enthusiasm! You will be providing your Software Management expertise to ensure DoD scientists have reliable access to these critical resources. You will be directly supporting the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support an enterprise portfolio of COTS, GOTS, and Open-Source applications.
  • Enterprise software negotiation
  • Act as the primary liaison for vendor relationship management on behalf of the HPCMP
  • Facilitate ad-hoc license requests, such as additional or temporary licenses from users
  • Ongoing operations & maintenance of shared license servers (e.g. FlexLM)
  • Serve as primary HPCMP COTS licensing Subject Matter Expert
  • Provide user support and act as vendor liaison on behalf of HPCMP users
  • Monitor software usage and report to senior management
  • Report on license usage anomalies and react accordingly
  • Provide recommendations to HPCMP leadership regarding software purchases
  • Draft software announcements in partnership with the Technical Communications team


Required Skills and Education

  • HS diploma with a minimum of 8 years related experience, AS +6, BA +4, or MS +2
  • Substantial Linux experience as a user or administrator
  • Tokenized license management experience (e.g. FlexLM)
  • Effective communicator both orally and in a written form
  • Experience using or managing commercial software for distributed users
  • Demonstrated understanding of government procurement requirements
  • Ability to obtain DOD 8140 (8570) certification

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience using or supporting HPC systems
  • Experience with HPC scientific software
  • Experience supporting Government contracts
  • Understanding of and experience with HPC scheduling software (PBSpro, Slurm, or LSF)
