The ISA Data Governance Vice President will be responsible for leading ISA Data Governance. Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • The VP, Data Governance is a key leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership to and managerial oversight of the Data Governance Team
  • Formulate both short and long term strategies to improve efficiencies in Data Management approaches through collaboration with leadership and technology teams
  • Formulate short and long term strategies for data lifecycle practice for ISA
  • Direct the execution of the Data Management strategy to ensure timely, secure, and consistent access to data through the data lifecycle process
  • Work with business functions to define and communicate data standards, policies and procedures for the organization to ensure a common business vocabulary, and consistent information to leverage data cross-functionally
  • Ensures the Data Governance team develops best practices, content guides and processes to enable delivery of optimal data flow
  • Support efficient mechanisms for the compliant storage and destruction of data
  • Ensure Data Management processes are developed and clearly communicated, with an eye to continuous performance measures
  • Develop and evolve strategic partnerships and collaboration with industry leaders in support of ISA
  • Provides expertise and leadership to drive innovation (e.g. improved cycle times)
  • Identify and implement solutions to global data management issues and concerns
  • Manage Data Governance presentations, metrics, dashboards and overall progress communications
  • Facilitate organizational and behavioral change as it relates to leveraging and using data


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experiencerequired. Technologydegreepreferred. Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Management preferably in a large, global financial services institution
  • Proficiency with project management tools and techniques
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a large data governance effort
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for compliance retention of data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in conveying vision and the pragmatic tactics for achieving measurable and consistent improvement
  • Strong analytical, prioritization and negotiating skills
  • Proven leader in coaching and developing teams for continuous improvement
  • Able to operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work within deadlines and meet goals
