iOS EngineerYou are a curious self-starter that pushes the boundaries on both what you build and how you build it. For you, there is no higher order than an exceptional product, and clean code is implied. You want to have a direct impact on the expression and education of millions of global creators, and help them invest in themselves with intention.
At VSCO, we care deeply about pushing the boundaries on what our users can do with photos on their mobile device. We strive to not only equip people with powerful tools to transform their images, but also the context of education and community to challenge the idea of what is possible to capture on a phone. We believe every person is on a journey to create their voice and their style when it comes to photography and that we have a unique opportunity to join them in that journey.
We are looking for an iOS Engineer to play an integral role on our mobile teams, and to work on a product that impacts millions of people around the world. You’ll be collaborating with other developers who have a similar passion for our users and for creativity.

The day-to-day

  • Drive new features for VSCO’s iOS platform products from end to end, including prototyping, validation and A/B testing, implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration/support
  • Go beyond the code, keeping in mind user psychology, user life-cycle, and user behavior
  • Collaborate with Design and Product teams in concepting and implementing new features
  • Work cross-functionally with your colleagues to maintain consistency across platforms

  • BS in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience working on mobile consumer applications
  • Expertise with Swift, Cocoa Frameworks, and Objective-C
  • Experience with multithreading programming
  • Experience writing unit tests and testable code

Nice to have

  • Passion for beautiful, responsive design
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with dependency management tools
  • Experience with working on vertical teams
  • A deep appreciation for photography and the visual arts
