As an Investment Strategist Support Leader, you will be responsible for leading the efforts to produce customized materials/solutions in a hands on manner for our OCIO/Delegated Investment solutions in alignment of prospect’s objectives.  In this role supporting our new business development efforts, you will be working with Investment DB Strategist, Portfolio Managers, Analytics Team, and Senior Retirement and Investment Consultants to customize content and drive efficiencies in the process.

  • Proven leader with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a collaborative manner
  • Commitment to customize and deliver a “best in class” service to internal and external clients in a timely and effective manner
  • Knowledge of the best ideas in managing risk in a holistic manner
  • Demonstrated ability and experience articulating pension risk management approaches in a collaborative manner
  • Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with Professional Excellence requirements 


  • Experience in working in a collaborative manner with internal teams to develop customized delegated Investment solutions for new prospects aligned to their objectives
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships internally and collaborating effectively on cross-functional teams  including Retirement, Portfolio Management,  Delegated Operations, and Business developments areas
  • Build effective working relationships with clients/colleagues at all levels 


  • Work with DB Strategists, Retirement and Investment resources to identify prospects and articulate their goals and objectives
  • Lead efforts to produce customized solutions and materials aligned to prospects goals in a collaborative and timely manner working closely with the DB Strategists
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and best in class thinking and solutions
  • Assist with all phases of strategy development, product and solution development, and implementation of delegated solutions for client 


  • Serve as a leader in identifying, cultivating, and expanding new business opportunities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of time recording for billing purposes
  • Meet prospect and project deliverables through effective resource utilization
  • Report pipeline progress against growth objectives

Job Requirements

The Requirements

  • Demonstrated actuarial, investment, and risk management acumen
  • Ten or more years experience in professional services environment consulting to institutional investment clients
  • Earned or currently pursuing FSA or CFA credentials
  • Proven track record in leading client assignments,  generating and progressing prospect opportunities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team-player; able to work with people at a variety of levels
  • High attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, high quality work
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet client requirements
  • Strong technical skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
