This position is within the MML Investors Services Broker Dealer “MMLIS” on the Investment Product and Relationship Management Team. This division of MMLIS is responsible for product management, relationship management & implementation of Broker Dealer product lines including Mutual Funds, Brokerage Products, Variable Annuities and a full suite of Advisory Products and Platforms through the MMLIS Corporate Registered Investment Advisor “CRIA”.

This position would manage cross functional projects across the scope of product management and relationship management; including product training, communications and implementation.

The product lines managed by this team are available for sale through the MMLIS platform which supports the registered representatives of MassMutual Financial Advisors consisting of over 8,500 registered representatives with over $250 Billion in AUM.

Investment Product Consultants are the main point of contact and subject matter experts for BD product lines and the responsibilities include; research and assessment capabilities for initial and on-going firm level and product level reviews, continual industry and regulatory research, project planning skills to support product vetting, field communications and product implementation across several divisions, professional and insightful presentation skills, managing relationships with product vendors as well as internal business partners and full oversight of contracts and selling agreements.

This role will assist in identifying sales growth opportunities for the firm and will work to provide educational and training content for our representatives in partnership with our sales/marketing/training organization. Responsibilities will also include providing product expertise and acting as a point of escalation to the operations team, internal sales desk, regional sales consultants and financial representatives in the field by discussing product features/updates and reviewing new product requests.

This is a fast paced team with vast responsibilities and a heavy workload. The ability to prioritize, collaborate and think critically are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage BD Product Platform by acting as a front line gatekeeper for broker dealer products and platforms Ensure all product providers follow BD rules of engagement within our distribution channel and adhere to our procedures
  • Conduct initial and ongoing review on product platforms Subject Matter Expertise on products lines offered through MMLIS
  • Maintain a strong partnership with internal legal & compliance departments Filter messages and investment themes to promote products, practice management and investment ideas to registered representatives
  • Work closely with internal sales desk and external wholesalers offering product support and industry expertise
  • Works closely with operations, technology, training, communications and sales
  • management involved in supporting BD products
  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deep working knowledge of Broker Dealer Products (Mutual Funds, Annuities, Advisory Platforms) and the overall financial service industry
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong analytic & research skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 yrs.+ relevant experience
  • Series 7 required. Series 66 & 24 preferred (or willingness to obtain in first year)
  • Advanced Education/Industry designations or in pursuit of a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
