Investment Advisory Program Sr. Investment Oversight Specialist

The Investment Advisory Program (IAP) is Bank of America Merrill Lynch's industry leading fee based advisory program servicing our clients' fiduciary needs. The program has $900+ billion in assets across 2.1+million accounts.

The candidate's primary responsibility will include the following:

• Leading efforts supporting the production of strategy specific marketing materials for advisor discretionary strategies, and managing associated risk oversight routines including performance dispersion reviews

• Day-to-day management of the Composite Performance Reporting (CPR) program, which allows an elite group of senior financial advisors to have their performance track records certified by a third party vendor

• Serving in an investment oversight capacity, including the review and approval of advisor discretionary strategies

• Serving as a representative of the firm's Special Situations Review Committee and Performance EvaluationWorking Group to assess unique strategy specific scenarios and determine appropriate recommendations

• Act as an SME on performance related initiatives impacting the broad Investment Advisory Program

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Current FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required

• 7+ years of Financial Services industry experience

• Familiar with portfolio management, investment research, asset allocation and performance measurement concepts

• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, strong follow through

• Self-starter with exceptional work ethic and "earned not entitled" mentality

• Advanced data analysis skills via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics and ideas in a clear, concise manner

• Ability to work with various business units including Control functions

Desired Skills

CFA or other industry designation, such as CIMA or CIPM


• Experience working with Financial Advisors who serve High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth investors.
