Researching and analyzing factors including performing detailed financial analysis affecting litigation damages or valuation including gaining understanding of the industry or market at issue.
Developing and assessing projections and forecasts.
Creating financial models incorporating valuation theory such as the development of discounted cash flow (DCF) models.
Analyzing financial transactions for possible fraud and compliance with GAAP or IFRS
Reviewing audit working papers for compliance with professional standards.
Communicating with clients and colleagues in written and oral form including drafting expert reports and presentations to clients.
Creating and managing large data sets.
Applying statistical analysis.
Preparing presentation materials.
Performing quality control reviews over work product.
Organizing documents and work papers, including preparing supporting materials for litigation and valuation reports.
Training other professional staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or mathematics required; Master's is desirable.
A minimum of three years' experience working in a professional services firm providing dispute, litigation and/or valuation services; experience in a "Big Four" accounting firm conducting independent financial statement audits for publicly traded companies will also be considered.
Pursuit of professional certifications such as a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor is viewed favorably.
