POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners Chicago is seeking a full-time fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist to join a busy IR private practice serving 2 locations in the south suburbs of Chicago. Radiology Partners Chicago is a subspecialty practice of 27 physicians that services patients centered in the south suburban locations of Harvey and Olympia Fields. At one site there are 2 to 3 IRs on site on any given day and the second site is staffed with 1 IR daily. The scope of practice involves the full spectrum of IR including everything from biopsies, drainages, and vascular access to hemodialysis access and maintenance, vertebral kyphoplasty, biliary and renal interventions, interventional oncology including Y-90, as well as an established PV practice including endovascular AAA repair performed in our IR suite. We also have our own Vein Clinic located in an outpatient center.
A successful candidate will be joining a team operating in “State of the Art” Angiography Suites, capable of supporting the performance of the full spectrum of vascular and non-vascular procedures, with cone-beam CT utilized on a regular basis. The IR Service offers dedicated and supportive staff with physician extenders who run dedicated IR clinics, which are built into our schedules. Excellent relationships with referring providers are enhanced through the attendance and participation in multidisciplinary conferences, including a monthly IR-led Interventional Oncology conference. This position offers a partnership track, competitive compensation package with generous paid time off opportunities as part of the overall benefits provided.
Call is 1:6 covering IR only at 2 institutions which can be busy weekend days, with overnight call-ins infrequent. There is no diagnostic weekend or overnight shift responsibilities.
Diagnostic responsibilities consist of helping out with the worklist when possible during the normal workdays, as well as a few dedicated diagnostic days per month, most of which can be worked offsite. This is not considered to be burdensome by our IR members and is a welcome added flexibility to our practice, contributing to what we consider to be a favorable lifestyle we are able to enjoy.
Located close to Chicago, our practice sees members able to pursue options of living either in the city with a potential 30 minute or less commute, or in nearby south or southwest suburbs or even northwest Indiana, with many fine communities in the area to enjoy city or suburban living to raise families.
Candidates must be residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Board-Certified or Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology is required and ABR certification in IR is a plus.
