The successful candidate will work with the Import Operations team as a customs compliance professional and be responsible for:
-Helping to manage Pratt & Whitney’s Customs Compliance Program.
-Maintaining Pratt & Whitney’s Customs Policy and Procedures Manual.
-Providing training to key P&W personnel in the area of customs compliance.
-Auditing and maintaining P&W’s Import entries to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs Regulations. -Create and maintain US Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Global tariffs listings for P&W engine components and support equipment.
-Completing U.S. Customs Requests for Information/Notices of Action.
-Creating and analyzing import data reports from US Customs ACE portal.
-Analyzing P&W’s Anti-Dumping Duty Exposure and providing reports to management on a quarterly basis.
-Helping to manage P&W’s Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. -Providing analysis, guidance and counseling to internal P&W clients on International Trade/Customs Issues.
-Helping to manage P&W’s ITAR controlled imports. The ITC Manager will actively participate in ACE (continuous improvement program) process improvement activities and help develop common process approaches for use by all P&W organizations and disciplines.
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 + years' experienceworking with U.S. Customs Regulations.
-Candidates holding a Customs Brokers License or having work experience with the U.S. Customs Service/Department of Homeland Security.
-Experience working with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Regulations is recommended.
-Technical background within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
-Excellent analytical, project management, verbal and written communication skills.
-Be a team player with multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with advanced excel skills.
