The Role

As an Internal Relationship Manager Consultant, you will act as an integral part of the Relationship Management area of RPS (Retirement Plan Services) and help the team execute on RPS's strategic vision, deliver on the business commitments and support retention and new business opportunities.  You will be responsible for obtaining data from various sources and combining it so that it can be easily used, manipulated, interpreted and then inputted into established presentations and formats.  It is also a function of the role that you understand the data, analyze it for trends, opportunities, meaningfulness, outliers, accuracy and be able to explain it and provide recommendations.  Mitigating imprecise data situations and gaps is also essential.  Another key component of the role would be the coordination and maintenance of Senior Leadership Plan Sponsor Engagement schedule and preparation materials as well as participation and accountability for projects, initiatives and events.

Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Responsible for developing and presenting timely formatted and ad hock reports to internal and external audiences requiring a high degree of accuracy and understanding, i.e. plan benchmarking, plan activities, and plan intelligence documents, etc
  • Utilize internal systems and departmental collaboration to generate reports and other documents
  • Develop, present, and document key findings that can drive process, agent performance and/or customer experience improvements to Senior audiences (SVP and VP levels)
  • Standardize reporting and data manipulation process to improve efficiency and support consistent performance management practices
  • Assess performance data for business and analytical (e.g. modeling) value
  • Develops statistical analysis, run charts, histogram, etc. to discover trends and support forecasting, target setting and business case development
  • Creates and implements tracking, measurement and accountability programs for various RPS-Participant Engagement Team initiatives
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of plan sponsor, consultant, and RC metrics for use by Relationship Management

Action Oriented

  • Act as quarterback/central point of contact and accountability capacity in the re-bid/RPF process for key relationships to gather client intelligence, metrics, reports, and other materials
  • Coordinate schedule, mediate and drive conference calls/meetings as needed
  • Maintain and update tracking, timeline documents, RFP/re-bid versions and other relevlant documents and keep key stake holders updated and current throughout the process with post meeting debriefs and other appropriate communications
  • Participate in Client RFP/Rebid discussions/coordination sessions as needed
  • Partner with the designated Relationship Manager participating in Annual Plan Review discussions, and/or client engagement functions such as:  Plan Advisory Council, strategic meetings, etc. as needed
  • Take an ownership role in helping to develop a process and owning the on-going execution of support and completion of Annual Plan Reviews, partnering with their Relationship Managers
  • Coordinating with internal areas for accuracy validation, aggregation of data, production and delivery coordination and ad hoc tangential needs, such as relevant to the environment of that particular plan sponsor
  • Develop business requirements for approved improvement recommendations and in support of baseline and strategic project initiatives
  • Responds to inquiries and needs from other LFG enterprise divisions
  • Researches, plans and executes new channel initiatives (e.g. compensation changes, honors & recognition programs, etc.)
  • Drives projects forward and collaborates with colleagues
  • Researches channel, market and industry trends, opportunities and threats
  • Present recommendations and supporting analysis and consult with management and key stakeholders for identified process improvements that impact efficiency, departmental capabilities and/or return on investment
  • Analyzes necessary data to address issues and develops solutions to Leadership team
  • Completes channel metric requests from Leadership
  • Completes analysis as needed (channel and individual level)
  • Provides timely updates to RPS-PET channel regarding relevant information from other areas across the enterprise
  • Leverages other LFG enterprise resources and programs for the RPS-PET channel
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:

Relationship Management

  • Respond to RM and RM Director requests as necessary
  • Acts as a RPS Channel’s liaison and resource with internal stakeholders including operations, marketing, product, compliance, legal and relationship management as well as other LFG enterprise divisions
  • Maintains good working relationships between RPS areas
  • Assist with activities of the field relationship manager to deepen and strengthen the relationship of plan sponsors by pro-actively setting up WebEx review calls, video conferences, and through attendance at seminars and conference

Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduatedegree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in reporting, analysis and/or strategy that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Proven understanding and proficiency of Account Management related functions and competencies
  • Proven client facing presentation skills and competencies
  • Proven strong project management skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, under pressures, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
