Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center, affiliated with Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is a 450 bed facility that offers services and programs geared to both adults and geriatric patients. We are a leader in long term, post-acute care and skilled nursing care. Our Lady of Consolation is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
In this full time role, you will be responsible for the primary care and treatment of all the residents/patients at Our Lady of Consolation. Duties include, management of medical care and functional disabilities, including management of services such as diet, activities, treatments and consultations.
To qualify, you must have completed an internship and residency in an approved program with a specialty in either internal medicine or family practice and be board certified. Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
NYS Board Certification EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a graduate of an approved Medical School or School of Osteopathy. Must complete postgraduate training including internship and residency in approved programs in either the specialty of Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required. Principle Function: Primary Care Attending Physicians are responsible for the care and treatment of all the residents/patients at Our Lady of Consolation and duties and obligations include management of medical care and functional disabilities, including management of such services as diet, activities, treatments, consultations and medications which are necessary for the highest practicable quality of life.
