Internal Communications Content Editor and Creator - (2003157)
The ON Semiconductor corporate communications team has an opening for an internal communications content editor and creator. This is a new role that will be located in Phoenix, Arizona as a member of the corporate strategy and marketing team with the global sales and marketing department.
The communications content editor and creator will be responsible for the following:
Focusing on creating new content that highlights the company’s technology and increases employees’ understanding of company products.
Helping promote product business units’ work through various communication channels.
Interfacing with other departments for communications planning and projects, such as with the human resources, ethics and corporate social responsibility departments.
Managing the continued deployment of the company’s mobile communications app to global manufacturing sites. This role will be heavily involved in leading ongoing phases of the app roll out (working with global teams to develop roll out schedules and content, identifying local level champions, conducting training, etc.); reviewing and contributing to content calendars; identifying best practices; disseminating metrics to support recommendations for continued success.
Creation of content for the U.S. and corporate level deployment of the communications app. Work with the corporate communications team to identify cross-channel communications appropriate for the app (PR, social, internal emails, graphics related items); ongoing management of and content creation for the U.S. based app communications.
Assisting with other communication team activities: reviewing, editing and/or rewriting of internal company content and messaging that reaches all employees; assisting with internal meetings/events; occasional support for the on-site company store; occasional support for the external communications team.
7-10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing or a highly-related field.
A high level of knowledge in AP style writing (AP style test may be administered as part of the interview process) and a meticulous attention to detail.
Project management or change management experience.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative on new assignments and balance multiple projects at once.
High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, writing, communications, public relations or a related discipline.
Experience working in a large, technical organization is preferred.
Experience working with mobile communications apps and/or internal communication platforms is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a strong plus.
