Job Description
The Corporate Audit function provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the Boeing Company’s operations. It helps organizations achieve objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control. The selected candidate will primarily lead Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) assessments but will also be expected to lead assurance audits and advisory services; working with all of our major business units (commercial, defense, services) and across all functions. The selected candidate will perform the following representative tasks:

- Lead the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) assessment activities, including reviewing the work of auditors
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including external auditors and finance leadership to test financial internal controls for operating effectiveness within a defined schedule
- Research policies & procedures, create process flow charts, document process objectives, risks, and controls
- Create test procedures to assess the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls
- Perform control testing; obtain sufficient, relevant and reliable information
- Perform quantitative & qualitative analysis of information using data analytics and other audit techniques
- Communicate and convey engagement status, engagement objectives and scope as well as applicable conclusions, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders
- Initiate and lead audit process improvement activities
- Plan, develop, and deliver training for the organization
- Coach and mentor other auditors

Typical Education / Experience
Bachelor's and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or performing Sarbanes-Oxley control design and/or operational effectiveness testing.
  • More than 5 years experience conducting Sabanes Oxley (SOx) assessments
  • 13 or more years of experience conducting internal audits in accordance with IIA standards
  • 13 or more years working in a public accounting firm or in a finance or compliance role
  • More than 5 years experience leading projects, including responsibility for developing project plan, managing resources, assessing the work of others, and communicating to senior leadership

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • CIA, CISA, CPA or CFE (Must be willing to obtain a certification within 18months of joining)
