Kforce has a client in Irvine, CA that is looking to add to their growing Internal Audit department, so they are looking for an Internal Audit Manager. Summary: The Internal Audit Manager will report directly to the Director of Internal Audit and will be responsible for leading internal audits and advisory engagements related to the business, developing the initial framework for the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance efforts, managing day-to-day efforts for the Company's SOX Readiness initiative currently underway, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the business for initial development of the annual internal audit plan. The candidate will lead projects and be the primary contact across multiple business areas of the organization and will communicate directly with executive management, external auditors, and other third parties.


  • Bachelordegreerequired, preferably in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree and Active CPA license a plus
  • Professional certification required (CPA, CA, CIA, CFE, or CISA)
  • 7+ years of internal and/or external auditexperience, preferably in distribution, consumer products, retail, or similar industries
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects and/or staff
  • Strong understanding of internal control and risk management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal auditing practices, procedures, and principles including knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge with COSO and US generally accounting principles
  • Project Management experience a plus, demonstrated ability to manage large audit projects
  • Experience in IT audit and/or use of audit data analysis tools, a plus
  • Ability to learn, adapt, multi-task and adjust quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Able to support the company values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity
