Responsible for managing the employees who provide independent audit activities including the evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's processes. Provides review of internal controls through analysis and testing and then reports on the degree of conformity, offering recommendations and counsel where control improvements are needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Concurrently manage multiple projects, facilitating quality and timeliness.
Assist in executing the annual SOX 404 compliance effort by testing control effectiveness through the examination of records, reports and documentation, summarizing and reporting.
Plan and/or perform operational audits, as required.
Assists with reviews of quarterly press release, quarterly and annual financial statements, the annual report and the proxy
Prepares detailed reports on audit findings. Communicates findings to senior management and facilitates remediation.
Drives standardization of business processes to maximize internal control effectiveness and efficiency.
Build and maintain strong and productive relationships across the organization.
Assists in completing the annual risk assessment and audit plan development.
Provide thought leadership to continuously move the department forward.
Supervises and develops the audit department staff.
Manage the resource scheduling process to maximize development opportunities for the team and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
Oversees the review and completion of the audit related to the company's benefit plans.
Reviews the audit work of Auditor/Senior to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Interacts and communicates with the Company's Audit Committee and external auditors.
Travel up to 25% to certain of the Company's global facilities.
Supervises non-supervisory employee(s).
Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Working with Human Resources on employee issues.

Experience in designing, monitoring and evaluating internal controls and SOX compliance for a publicly traded corporation
Experience implementing data analytics in a corporate setting is preferred.
