EXP Services Inc. is currently seeking an Intermediate Building Science Engineer to join its Building Engineering Services Group in our Brampton, ON office. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project management as it relates to building science work, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below.
•Providing technical guidance to junior staff and clients
•Report writing and review of reports from junior staff members
•Performing building condition assessments, performance audit, asset and property review/assessment, reserve fund studies, design, and coordinating various building repair(s)
•Preparing specifications and drawings for rehabilitation and design projects
•Liaising with clients, building strong client relationships, and generating new business
•Mentoring junior staff
The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek
•Minimum of five years technical experience with proven ability in project management and business development
•University degree in a related field of study such as Civil Engineering, Master's degree would be considered an asset
•P.Eng. designation in Ontario is required
•Experienced in conducting drawing architectural specifications and trade shope drawings.
•Experienced in conducting building envelope failure investigations.
•Experienced in building condition assessments and design, and able to lead junior staff to perform BCA
•Experienced in coordinating building repair, such as roof and window replacements, balcony, cladding and parking garage repair
•Valid driver's license and access to vehicle is required for site visits
•Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers
•Ability to work effectively in a high demand and fast paced environment
•Proactive approach with a focus on leadership
•Excellent team builder with the ability to motivate people
•Leadership skills are an asset
