Interface / Integration Analyst
The Interface/Integration Analyst – working as a member of the Information Systems (IS) team is responsible for the maintenance and support of Covenant's Enterprise Information System interfaces, supporting Application Coordinators and Super Users throughout Covenant, assisting with vendor or system issue resolution and assuring commonality across interfaces. This individual must understand HL7 messages and the workings of Interface Engine(s) in order to maximize and optimize utilization. Individual may also be responsible for data extraction to further integration of supported systems. Works with local system project teams, Super Users and Application Coordinators, application vendor and User Groups to establish requirements at the enterprise and local system level, share "best practices" in interface design and development, maintain the system-wide strategy for standardization, ensures testing and validation is completed on all interfaces.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Health Sciences or Information Systems. Candidates with 5 or more years of qualified equivalent experience will be considered.
Demonstrated proficiency with information systems technology.
Good goal accomplishment, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
Achievement of Epic Interface Certification within 6 months of hire.
2+ years supporting an interface engine is required, preferably Cloverleaf.
Possession of an understanding of the HL7 standard (or a willingness to learn the standard and its structures and rules).
Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation
Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements for existing and new interfaces.
Ability to build interface implementation project plans with detailed tasks and appropriate estimates.
Ability to organize and lead specification meetings and design effective interfaces
Knowledge of operating system, relational databases, database query languages and some scripting experience is needed.
Other Skills Required:
Travel is required, on a regular basis, to Covenant entities, as well as to vendors meetings.
This is an exempt position requiring hours of work that extend beyond the traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends.
