Halfaker has an opening for an Intelligence Analyst to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Follows up reports with meaningful interaction with appropriate government and other contractor representatives
- Works closely with private industry and/or other government agencies to gain necessary information and directs personnel to appropriate action with regard to information generation and other communication priorities
- Participate in tests and exercises to maintain preparedness and improve coordination; supervise others actions during exercises and provide feedback and after action reporting.
- During incidents, triage information from a variety of resources and conduct initial analysis of the incidents and events
- During major incidents or events, collect and review input to national-level situational awareness
- Provide access to approved DHS situation reports, bulletins, press releases, and other important documents to serve industry partner's continuity-of-business information needs
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple, concurrent activities with short turn-around times with multiple internal and external customers
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) structure, emergency management operations, and background knowledge critical infrastructure sectors
- Capable of synthesizing, synopsizing, and presenting information at an executive level
- Must also demonstrate the ability to conduct research, analysis, and technical writing skills and be able to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's critical infrastructures and key resources
- Personnel shall have experience in operating during high-tempo mission critical operations
- Possesses a general understanding of cybersecurity and cyber related current events and how they could impact critical infrastructure
- Has working/ user based knowledge of social media and had ideas about how to implement it as an intelligence gathering tool
- Must be willing to work shift work as a salaried employee
- In depth experience or knowledge on cybersecurity and the intersection with critical infrastructure

Required Experience
