Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking an Insurance Technology Manager to drive the business by working closely with our business partners to identify the need for change in how our people and systems work. Ensure technology solutions perform properly to help bring new life insurance, annuity, and D.I. products to market.

This position leads a team of associates to deliver high quality business, functional, and system requirements. Help lead the execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases, in accordance with the needs of the business. Work closely with product and financial actuaries to define new insurance products and enhancements to the policy administration systems. Oversee requirement elicitation and testing of policy values and policy accounting on the administration systems. Using knowledge and experience, this position contributes to the success of Ameritas by allowing for product growth and innovation.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create a high performing culture through associate and business resources
  • Design and implement processes to achieve business results
  • Develop standards for testing applications, systems and processes to achieve business results
  • Guide the development of testing tools and testing processes to validate policy values on the policy administration system.
  • Identify and resolve problems for both internal & external parties
  • Monitor and evaluate adherence to regulations, policies and procedures
  • Develop partnerships within the organization to engage in cross-functional business initiatives
  • Analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Consult with other IT, business associates, and leaders
  • Incorporate future impacts into planning of solutions
  • Plan and organize the work of associates
  • Advance the practice of business analysis and technology quality assurance


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4-7 years related experience required
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience required
  • Life, Annuity, and Disability Product Knowledge required.
