Build new and creative Personal Lines insurance products to enable differentiation, drive profitability, and seize new market opportunities while leading the product team in planning, enhancement, and maintenance of existing product portfolio.
*** Supervise Product Development Department including coaching, training, and ownership of performance management activities.
*** Manage broad product portfolio with emphasis on product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including requirements gathering for systems application and data content.
*** Develop and maintain business cases, competitive analysis, launch plans, pricing, and other product life cycle documents.
*** Lead review and analysis of intelligence, bureau programs, and ISO and AAIS circulars relating to new and existing products or coverages.
*** Evaluate program coverages, forms, and rates for product improvement, competitive reasons, or as necessitated by court cases, legislative actions or State Insurance Department regulations.
*** Direct evaluation of product portfolio against competitive landscape and target market needs to determine potential product enhancements and retirements.
*** Identify business trends and forecast demand.
*** Lead projects to bring recommendations to execution.
*** Make all necessary filings with State Insurance Departments to ensure products, forms and rates are in compliance.
*** Track and report product performance to key stakeholders.
*** Partner with Underwriting to develop and implement Underwriting rules and drive product behavior.
*** Maintain contact with customers in market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
*** Prepare, distribute, and document Agent Manuals and Rating Software.
