Investigate, negotiate, and conclude by settlement or denial small and moderate First Party commercial property claims directly or through independent adjusters.
*** Access assigned claims to determine extent of loss and identify & evaluate coverage issues.
*** Prepare comprehensive coverage letters with supervisory review and analysis.
*** Ensure claim files contain analysis on coverage, damages, reserves and action plan for resolution.
*** Submit file summary reports on high exposure files for upper management review.
*** Retain and provide direction to coverage counsel, insureds, agents, independent adjusters, contractors, and cause & origin experts.
*** Process & pay claims and expense invoices.
*** Assign claims to Independent Adjuster and monitor work for compliance with service agreement.
*** Evaluate claims for potential fraud and work with Special Investigative Unit.
