Instrumentation Reliability Engineer in Big Spring, TX

Our client is seeking a Junior and a Senior Engineer who can do reliability on oil refinery instrumentation hardware, root cause failure analysis, and proactive and preventative maintenance of plant instrumentation.

Able to work extended shifts/respond to after-hours call outs

You must be willing to:

· Provide technical support for projects/routine maintenance of the refinery's instrumentation/controls (I&C) assets

· Review/develop Instrument design packages for capital projects

· Provide routine maintenance engineering/troubleshooting support for instrumentation/analyzers

· Utilize Life Cycle Cost/Decision & Risk Analysis processes to assist with repair vs. replace decisions

· Develop capita/expense budget requirements

· Leading/participate on Root Cause Analysis teams

Requirements (IF YOU DON'T HAVE THESE, DON'T APPLY)

· BS Electrical Engineering (P.E. preferred)

· Working knowledge of IEC/ISA/API codes/standards

· Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Access

· Working knowledge of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) calculations

· Ability to write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals

· Strong verbal/written skills
