SE-V Instrumentation is looking for an Applied Sensor Quality Engineering to support all Pratt & Whitney military, commercial and industrial development engine programs. The Applied Sensor Quality Engineering is a key position ensuring work instruction and instrumentation execution meet required standards, comply with ESW, and result in robust, durable installations. Delivering accurate and reliable sensor installations is essential to providing customer data and supporting engine development programs. The Sensor Engineering team is an integral part of the Engine Integrated Product Teams and must be able to handle rapidly changing requirements in a fast paced development atmosphere.
Responsibilities of this position include:
• Hardware review and documentation
• Lab incoming work instruction review
• Strain gage/engineering signoffs
• Review in process lab instrumentation as a daily spot check of all assignments
• Provide expert level guidance to the lab and engineering for installations and work instructions
• Assist discipline chief in further developing standard work, resolving DIVEs, and resolving quality issues.
• Drive ACE practices • Assist the team in creation of management level presentations related to instrumentation.
Qualification: Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with instrumentation applications.
US Citizen due to program requirements
MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
Knowledge of pressure, temperature, strain and vibration sensors and/or Sensor Applications experience highly preferred. Experience in development of gas turbine engines and engine part repair validation processes preferred.
Candidate must possess excellent organization, communication and project management skills.
Candidate must also possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance is a plus.
Ability to obtain such clearance is required.
