The Department of Pediatrics, Critical Care, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a critical role. This position offers unique experience in our high-volume Intensive Care Units for an individual who wishes to pursue a career in pediatric intensive care. The Instructor will work alongside Faculty colleagues, Fellows and advanced level practitioners, in the care of children with chronic and acute illness.
The Main Campus ICU beds are located in five physical areas. We have a 31-bed general ICU; a 4-bed dedicated surgical recovery ICU; a 36-bed Progressive care unit that focuses on the care of children with complex medical needs who are often technology dependent; a 21-bed cardiovascular ICU and an 8-bed dedicated heart failure ICU which is the first of its kind in the nation.
Essential Function and Duties:
- Day-to-day care of children requiring critical care
- Active role in education of trainees
- Supervision of Fellows
- Participation in on-callschedule
- Liaison and collaboration with stakeholders in PICU, PCU, neonatology, cardiology, and cardiac surgery
Minimum Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible for Pediatrics
Education Requirements: Residency in Pediatrics
