Responsibilities
The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) will helps focus their efforts on defining business processes to provide educationally sound training solutions and support to all training programs, broaden training services, and develop measures to track the return on investment. In addition, the ISD will be responsible for all facets of training products, including course design and development. This position will include the development and delivery of high-quality courses using a combination of web-based training, distance-learning, and instructor-led training. Following the ADDIE model, the ISD will be analyzing training needs, creating meaningful learning objectives, mapping learning objectives to job tasks, selecting delivery systems and developing effective learning strategies. The ISD ensures alignment between identified job tasks, learning objectives, and assessment items and participate in the curriculum/test validation process.
This position operates out of Quantico, VA.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree is contractually required.
Active Top Secret clearance is contractually required.
A minimum of seven (7) years previous experience developing high-quality courses using a combination of web-based training, distance-learning, and instructor-led training.
Well versed in adult learning theory and instructional systems design to engage adult learners through multiple modalities.
Ability to provide guidance to internal subject matter experts and external training providers on training format, materials design, and evaluation.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in education or related field preferred.
Knowledge of 508 accessibility and compliance.
