This role will be responsible for managing Shire’s ~$850 million Institutional segment of Immunology Immunoglobulin (IG) products and indications.  Specifically, that includes managing the Institutional brand presence for GAMMAGARD, GAMMAGARD LowIgA, HYQVIA, and CUVITRU, as well as developing the overall Institutional value proposition for Shire products.  The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • US and Puerto Rico Institutional IG brand strategy lead
  • Manage and evolve the Institutional PI Standards of Care platform
  • Advance Shire Institutional branding and value proposition across Health Systems/Hosptials, Alternate Site settings, Regional GPOs and Regional Specialty Pharmacies
  • Manage and evolve the peer-to-peer pharmacy speaker bureau
  • Execute Institutional-focused ad boards for IG
  • Internal Institutional communication platform lead (e.g., Institutional Insider)
  • Maximize the DEFINITIVE resource for the Institutional sales team
  • Lead Agency relationships for the Institutional Marketing team
  • Become the team subject matter expert on 340B – trends, regulations and insights
  • Sales Marketing Advisory Council (SMAC) Institutional Lead
  • Cross-functional lead for Institutional Marketing to ensure alignment across strategic priorities with the following:
    • PI/HAE/Specialty marketing teams
    • Institutional Sales training
    • Market Access/Value Strategy
    • MyIgSource PI support team
    • Med Affairs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelordegreerequired and MBA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years marketing experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated record of success
  • Institutional-specificexperience strongly preferred

Key Skills:

  • US Healthcare system knowledge as evidence by 3+ years in the pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical industry including experience with payer/channel relations, reimbursement, finance, institutional sales/customer-facingexperience, or related roles
  • Generating insights and developing differentiated brands for institution-specific messaging
  • Knowledge of hospital business drivers and key stakeholders   
  • Strong results orientated work ethic with a demonstrated ability to successfully launch new programs, lead project teams, and manage external vendors
  • Ability to build and foster relationships in an environment around teamwork/collaboration
  • Ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data.
  • Understand, communicate and execute on marketing programs and tactics
  • Foster strong relationships with, hospital pharmacists, physicians, vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Capability to understand market trends and customer needs and incorporate customer insights to advance strategy and tactical programming
  • Track record of strong project management and results orientation, including strong budget management
  • Knowledge of the healthcare regulatory environment and demonstrated ability to place controls to ensure compliance to guidelines.
  • Ability to successfully work in cross-functional teams, including internal legal/regulatory/medical promotional review team, U.S. HCP Communications Team and U.S. Medical Affairs
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting concepts and ideas in a clear, succinct, and organized manner
