This role reports directly to the Director of Inside Sales located in Campbell, CA.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Inside Sales team members
  • Able to play the role of player coach in the early days on the Inside Sales team formation
  • Become an expert in identifying challenges that our prospective clients face, which can be solved with ChargePoint’s technology
  • Onboard and train Sales Development Representatives to develop sales skills and deep product knowledge
  • Mentor, measure and inspire a team of high producing, thoughtful Sales Development Representatives that successfully generate sales-ready opportunities
  • Foster an energetic, positive culture of high-performance, consistent motivation, effectiveness and results
  • Provide the Inside Sales team with ongoing training and coaching related to process, skills, best practices, systems, and career path
  • Play an active role in the creation and iteration of team processes
  • Report, track, and manage sales activities and results using Salesforce CRM, reporting daily, weekly, or monthly performance and analytic reports
  • Manage the team to exceeding quota and fostering professional development to create advancement opportunities for team members
  • Work in team environment with the marketing, field regional sales managers and channel sales organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of sales leadership processes and customer's buying trends to increase pipeline growth
  • Utilize feedback and sales team needs to modify course and instructional methods
  • Research and understand current marketing campaigns to help the sales force best utilize and execute against all objectives
  • Monitor sales rep productivity in support of their account and territory development
  • Assess skill sets and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members in order to meet objectives, reinforce sales methodology and provide guidance on career path direction
  • Implement personal development plans for individual team members
  • Lead prospecting efforts that result in adding new customers

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a team of sales representatives creating a positive, productive and collaborative sales environment
  • 5+ years of selling experience operating within hardware, software, web technologies or innovative online product environment. Strong preference given to those who have sold value vs price
  • Experience within a sales team that establishes aggressive goals and then exceeds them consistently
  • Fast learner and comfortable with new technologies
  • Ability to look around the corner – anticipate problems of a growing organization before they surface
  • Polished, confident presenter to support roll out of high visibility initiatives
  • Great organizational skills: can put together a plan, articulate that plan to key stakeholders and execute it to quality and deadline
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, exciting environment
  • Ability to motivate others and achieve results
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
