This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating new integrated partner opportunities and successfully transitioning them to a TSYS business development associate to take through the remainder of the sales process and new partner launch. This role is aligned to specific target market segments and identifying prospects is done through industry research, cultivating an existing database of previous contacts and potentially in person trade show attendance. This person will focus on introducing prospects to TSYS while identifying decision makers and key influencers within the prospect. At which point prospects are passed off to business development associates to present the best payment solution, propose partnership economics and negotiate contract terms. In addition to tactical market engagement this role is responsible for maintaining a database of live contacts and reporting weekly on various aspects of the program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and be able to clearly articulate the TSYS integrated partner model value proposition when communicating with prospects face-to-face, over the phone and over email
  • Research and understand assigned market segment; major players, relevant trends, competitive intelligence
  • Produce periodic updates and/or “newsfeeds” to the organization about the trends or new information identified in assigned segments
  • Assist the broader business development team in planning for and executing on conferences and trade shows
  • Follow-up on prospect pipeline to identify and contact the decision maker(s) and then facilitate a live introduction to that market segment’s business development associate
  • Create alternative engagement strategies leveraging our in-house marketing capability to reach decision makers outside of conferences and trade shows
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • MUST have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business-to-business marketing or sales role
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to diverse audiences
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to locations around the United States
  • Proficient in standard business/Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Four year college degreerequired
