It all begins with you.  The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products.  Its guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.  Wells Fargo Virtual Channels (WFVC) is part of the Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI)business division. WFVC serves consumer and small business customers through digital (online, mobile, and social) and contact centers (phone, email, and correspondence). We provide customers with convenient ways to manage their accounts, enable digital payments, provide solutions that meet their financial needs, and more. WFVC serves over 27 million customers through our digital channels and support over 5.8 billion customer interactions annually through digital and contact centers.    The Labs team within Wells Fargo Digital is a team of business strategists, designers and technologists who set our innovation agenda and build transformative, strategic programs for the enterprise. Our horizon includes projects that go into market in-year, as well as long-term explorations of new technologies and customer trends. The Senior Innovation Product Manager is an individual contributor role on the Digital Labs team, serving as a key strategist who will support and accelerate innovation. The successful candidate is a creative thinker and proactive practitioner with an entrepreneurial mindset who can work at both strategic and tactical levels across the enterprise. Some of the key roles/responsibilities of the Innovation Product Manager will be to:

  • Create new sources of growth by bringing ideas, partners and technologies through the innovation process, resulting in compelling consumer products
  • Identify, develop and lead cross-enterprise initiatives that present a clear vision of the future of Digital Banking
  • Design the banking experiences of the future by understanding the business, customer needs, and the future of technology, while you partner with a team of designers, business strategists and technologists to bring early versions of these experiences to life through demos, prototypes and customer pilots  
  • Lead innovative product development efforts with a special emphasis on the role of captivating experience-design  and how it contributes to new value propositions and pricing strategies; source leading design and innovation partners and cast a vision for the future of design in financial services
  • Listen for and identify patterns from external and internal research and translate findings into simple, powerful concepts and products
  • Plan and facilitate meetings with cross-enterprise teams and generate buy-in for outside-the-box thinking
  • Bring a disciplined mindset that understands market and technology trends and deftly balances viability, desirability and feasibility while championing change
  • Conduct or leverage customer research, partner with the business and customer-segment leaders and align insights to strategies that result in compelling use-cases and product development efforts
  • Be a compelling storyteller and trusted partner who helps traditional lines of business anticipate disruption and invest wisely in novel methods, partnerships and experiments
  • Lead through a pro-active sense of urgency about the future of financial services and the import of our work for customers and the economy

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
  • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 8+years experience creating compelling digital experiences and products for respected consumer brands, with a special emphasis on the role of design in value creation
  • Experience cultivating top-tier design agencies and other innovation partners to create novel value propositions, and high-value customer experiences
  • Proven experience leading a transformative value proposition for commerce and/or consumer products
  • Deep leadership experience leading innovation cycles from ideation to MVP, with broad exposure and familiarity to innovation methodologies, partners and systems
  • Prior experience in launching new products to market
  • Experience driving innovation activities across complex organizations with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in creating innovative digital focused solutions and/or partnerships in the FinTech industry
  • Proven experience bringing novel value propositions to life by partnering with technologists, strategists and designers to develop prototypes and customer pilots
  • Experience managing design, brand or creative partnerships with significant business impact
