Rejoignez notre équipe dynamique à l’usine de Varennes, un centre d’excellence en fabrication de transformateurs de puissance. En tant qu’ingénieur de procédés, vous ferez partie d’une équipe d’experts techniques spécialisée dans le séchage en phase vapeur, les procédés de traitement de l’huile, le refroidissement des équipements, la gestion des gaz de combustion, l’air comprimé pour instruments, ainsi que divers autres procédés de l’usine. Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans le maintien de la qualité des produits et le soutien de notre stratégie de croissance.

Vous collaborerez étroitement avec des équipes multidisciplinaires pour améliorer la performance des équipements, optimiser les méthodes de production et stimuler l’innovation. Votre impact

  • Évaluer et améliorer les procédés de séchage en phase vapeur, les procédés de traitement de l’huile, le refroidissement des équipements, la gestion des gaz de combustion, ainsi que plusieurs autres procédés de l’usine

  • Analyser les données et mettre en œuvre des solutions durables

  • Concevoir, tester et moderniser les systèmes et les équipements

  • Rédiger et partager la documentation interne et les méthodes de travail

  • Former les opérateurs et les équipes de maintenance et assurer la rétention des connaissances techniques

  • Diriger des projets d’amélioration de la productivité et de la qualité

  • Résoudre les problèmes en utilisant des méthodologies structurées

  • Suivre et améliorer les indicateurs de performance des procédés

Votre Profil:

  • Baccalauréat en génie des procédés, mécanique* ou chimique (*avec spécialisation en procédés ou expérience significative dans le domaine)

  • Être membre en règle de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) avec plein droit d’exercice, ou être admissible et en démarche active pour l’adhésion à l’OIQ

  • 5 à 10 années d’expérience dans un rôle technique, incluant la conception des procédés d’usine, l’installation, la mise en service et le suivi, la gestion de projets multidisciplinaires, le dépannage d’équipements et systèmes, le calcul et la spécification d’équipements de procédés, d’instrumentation, de tuyauterie et accessoires, la coordination avec les fournisseurs d’équipements, la gestion des programmes de maintenance, etc.

  • Connaissance du séchage en phase vapeur avec kérosène, filtration d’huile, dégazage, régénération et mise sous vide (un atout)

  • Capacité à comprendre et concevoir des P&ID, des plans d’ensemble, des isométriques de tuyauterie, ainsi qu’à interpréter des schémas électriques et de contrôle

  • Connaissance des normes ASME B31.3, ainsi que d’autres normes ASME, NFPA, CSA, ISO, UL et ISA pertinentes à la pratique du génie des procédés et à l’industrie des transformateurs de puissance

  • Connaissance de l’analyse des contraintes de tuyauterie (un atout)

  • Expérience avérée en amélioration continue et en résolution de problèmes

  • Expérience en environnement manufacturier syndiqué

  • Bilingue français et anglais

  • Le candidat doit déjà détenir une autorisation de travail lui permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Energy au Canada

The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team at the Varennes plant, a center of excellence in power transformer manufacturing. As a process engineer, you will be part of a team of technical experts specializing in steam drying, oil processing processes, equipment cooling, flue gas management, instrument compressed air, and various other plant processes. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting our growth strategy.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve equipment performance, optimize production methods and drive innovation. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, lead high impact projects and contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions.

Your impact

  • Evaluate and improve steam drying processes, oil processing processes, equipment cooling, flue gas management, and several other plant processes

  • Analyze data and implement sustainable solutions

  • Design, test and upgrade systems and equipment

  • Write and share internal documentation and working methods

  • Train operators and maintenance teams and ensure retention of technical knowledge

  • Lead productivity and quality improvement projects

  • Solve problems using structured methodologies

  • Monitor and improve process performance indicators

  • Manage technical projects from design to execution, working with internal and external design teams, as well as with end users of equipment and processes

  • Develop new processes to meet evolving customer needs

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor of Process Engineering, Mechanical* or Chemical (*with specialization in processes or significant experience in the field)

  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) with full right of exercise, or be eligible and active in the process of joining the OIQ

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a technical role, including plant process design, installation, commissioning and monitoring, multidisciplinary project management, equipment and systems troubleshooting, calculation and specification of process, instrumentation, piping and accessory equipment, coordination with equipment suppliers, maintenance program management, etc.

  • Knowledge of steam drying with kerosene, oil filtration, degassing, regeneration and vacuum (an asset)

  • Ability to understand and design P&IDs, general drawings, piping isometrics, and interpret electrical and control diagrams

  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other ASME, NFPA, CSA, ISO, UL and ISA standards relevant to the practice of process engineering and the power transformer industry

  • Knowledge of piping stress analysis (an asset)

  • Proven experience in continuous improvement and problem solving

  • Experience in a syndicated manufacturing environment

  • Bilingual French and English

  • The applicant must already hold a work permit to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada
