                                                                             Project Manager
Delivery focused PM should have a solid understanding of:

  • Data Center Infrastructure Capabilities (Server-Host-Networking-Storage)
  • Project Management Lifecycle Methodologies (PMP Preferred)
  • Cabling and other Data Center Infrastructure
  • ITIL v3 Methodologies (preferred)
  • Cloud Computing

PM typical projects will revolve around:

  • Data Center Infrastructure
  • Infra Testing
  • Data Center Consolidation/Virtualization
  • Data Center Migration
  • Process Transformation (Existing > New)
  • Deployment of new Data Center Technologies


  • Run complex projects from design and development to production.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
  • Direct and oversee project engineering team and manage conflicts within group.
  • Efficiently identify and solve project issues.
  • Demonstrate leadership to define requirements for project risk.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to identify and collect information from multiple sources in the company and synthesize and communicate the relevant information
  • Builds strong Business Partnerships that enables IT to influence and impact the client*s business by implementing technology solutions
  • Anticipates solutions that will meet client needs
  • Promotes cross-functional collaboration throughout the team by communicating the impact of departmental projects and plans to appropriate cross functional areas
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration by communicating the impact of departmental projects and plans to appropriate cross functional areas.
  • Identifies and leads cross functional initiatives.
  • Manages Business Improvement projects and Mission Critical new systems.
  • Delivers project that meets or exceeds business expectations, client satisfaction; meets or is ahead of timeline, schedule and/or budget.
  • Manages delivery of high complexity projects for one or more business functions.
  • Seek opportunities that impact and add value to project teams outside of own project(s) or area of direct responsibility.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of client*s business, processes and global organizational structure.
  • Provides strong leadership to global, virtual and X-functional project teams.
  • Communicates information to project team, IT Management, Executive Staff, IT Partners, Clients and others that will consistently influence project strategy, objectives, project plans and other key decisions.

Position Requirements

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of project management or IT Management, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Propel, Power Point, or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.

 Work Conditions

  • Extended work hours may be required in meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
