At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world. We are looking to hire a key member of our IT team at either our Jacksonville, Florida or our Houston, Texas locations.

Key Responsibilities


Responsible for supervising IT Infrastructure personnel as well as managing the overall budget, systems, maintenance, IT support, hardware and software standards, messaging, communications, and R&D.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for managing an infrastructure team of 5 to 10 IT systems analysts.
  • Responsible for the availability of all mission-critical IT systems across the enterprise
  • Responsible for development, execution and maintenance of vision and strategy for IT Infrastructure and Architecture consisting of, but not limited to, networking, storage, and server architecture
  • Responsible for managing the use of all mobile IT applications and tools
  • Develops and maintains a current Disaster Recovery plan for backend systems, whose execution will restore high priority business systems that are lost due to uncontrollable circumstances
  • Develop and maintain global site documentation to include equipment inventory and network drawings / server & storage management
  • Design and execute short and long-term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs
  • Manage and establish priorities for maintenance, design, and analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of LANs, WANs, internet and wireless implementations
  • Partner with the Director, Information Security in planning and deploying tools to support a secure IT environment
  • Ensure to practice IT asset management inclusive of component inventory maintenance and associated documentation
  • Liaison with outsourcers, vendors and contractors for infrastructure-specific products and services


Required Skills


  • Typically, 10 or more years of relevant work experience (5 of those managing a team of direct reports) in information technology (IT) in one or more functional areas such as applications, infrastructure, projects and portfolio management, business relationship management, and information management.
  • Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure components (Active Directory, Messaging, Networking, Security, Cloud).
  • Advanced understanding of hardware, software, security, and networking technologies (LAN/WAN, VPN, Routing).
  • Strong understanding of cloud services e.g. Microsoft Azure
  • Strong problem resolution skills with drive and focus on accuracy and completion.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Education, Certifications & Licenses


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study.
