Summary & Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Engineers will work directly with application development teams, other I&O teams and vendors in support of internal and external web-based applications. Supportduties include design, deployment, monitoring, alerting, incident resolution, and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting our new cloud platform that is based heavily on Linux, TomCat and resides solely in Amazon’s Web Services Cloud.  Perform project build activities for the continued development of our new platform in AWS. Expected to stay informed of new and emerging technologies that can drive better efficiency or quality in their technical discipline.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Education

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience is required

Communication and Collaboration Skills  

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
     

Problem Solving  

  • Uses exceptional technical analysis and troubleshooting skills

AWS/VMware

  • VMware vSphere 5.5+ Administration experience, building a design experience preferred

  • VMware Operations Manager

  • VMware View 5.0+

  • VMware ThinApp 5.0+

  • AWS Administration

  • Sophos UTM

  • Experience with managing RI’s to optimize costs

  • Extensive Linux administration experience

  • Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management
