In this role, the successful applicant will support and develop the global collaboration systems (Microsoft Exchange/Skype for Business, Avaya telephony, Polycom video conferencing, Proofpoint emailsecurity, MobileIron MDM) across more than 50locations and 6,000 users. In this role you will perform everything from managing or supporting projects through to day-to-day operational tasks to ensure the availability and performance of the system along with diagnosing andtroubleshooting issues. This position will be part of a global team that will help steer the collaboration strategy for the business. Responsibilitiesof this role include:
Provide day to day administration for Microsoft Outlook/Exchange 2013, Microsoft Lync 2013, Microsoft SharePoint2013, Symantec Messaging Gateway and Symantec Mail Security for Exchange as well as a mobile messaging environment (Apple iOS and MobileIron are a plus).
Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all server environments.
Keep management up to date on any outstanding production related issues.
Provide assistance, documentation, and training for support personnel.
Adhere to company software licensing policies and practices.
Participate in on call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Identify and resolve problems affecting messaging systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner.
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, work within the scope of the project, and adhere to time constraints.
Perform routine server maintenance tasks such as maintaining messaging application patches, Exchange databases, monitoring SQL server database.
Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly operational checklists and operational reports.
Create and implement task automation and monitoring tools.
