Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Infotainment team to design and manage the development of the vehicle?s camera systems
  • Manage the release of automotive camera components
  • Be the main point of contact for the camera systems, working with various teams including; ElectricalNetworking, User Interface, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management to assure the proper development of a particular component
  • Work closely with suppliers to make sure they develop cameras that fit our particular requirements and timelines
  • Create specifications and requirements for the cameras used in the infotainment system
  • Assist in the testing of the camera system to assure proper functionality
  • Understand all technical and regulatory requirements for the component
  • Understand how the camera system can be used in other departments, like support ADAS features
  • Manage budget and schedule of components to ensure compliance with overall company goals
  • Research next generation camera systems and adjacent technologies for potential use in future vehicle models

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Three (3) years of related experience to camera system development
  • Knowledge of basic ECU/microcontroller hardware architecture
  • Knowledge of imaging sensor characteristics, camera selection and integration, sensor selection and evaluation, testing and characterization
  • Strong technical, communication and analytical abilities
  • Ability to produce timely, logical and concise work products
  • Ability to handle concurrent programs
  • Ability to work effectively independently, in a team or collaborative environment
  • In-depth knowledge of camera vision systems
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical board design
  • Hands-on experience with camera hardware system development
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles
  • Automotive experience
  • Ability to learn new technologies or concepts quickly
