Information Technology Security Engineer

We're hiring an Information Technology Security Engineer III!

About the position

The IT Security Engineer III is our senior position on our dedicated security team at Plexus. You will be responsible for our security tools stack. You are entrusted to keep our security position current, everywhere, and configured correctly. You own and drive security projects from inception to completion, working with the rest of the security team to help them learn and grow. You lead by example. To succeed in this position, you must have a proven history in IT Security best practices, security tools, application security, and cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The position reports to the IT Security and Compliance Director.

What you'll do

• You own the Plexus security stack (SIEM/EDR/NDR/VM/WAF/firewalls/email security/IAM/etc.) and security architecture within security leadership objectives.
• You will drive our vulnerability and incident management to meet security policy requirements.
• You are the subject matter expert (SME) on AWS Security working with the DevOps team.
• Provide services to internal team members to assist with issues related to security.
• Drive the creation, prioritization, and execution of security projects in alignment with leadership.
• Ensure all work is documented in the proper location.
• You create, review, and keep security policies and procedures current.
• Perform audits/reviews and provide metrics and diagrams as directed.
• Contribute to the development of internal security testing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT and all other departments to assess, document, and address risk.
• You are naturally curious and continually educate yourself in the evolving IT security technologies and champion where Plexus can benefit from these new technologies.
• Provide best practice security guidance for all departments as needed.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call duties to support essential business clients and emergencies.
• Collaborate with internal compliance to address compliance mandates through policy, process, and controls.

What you need to know

• You should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
• You have seven years in IT with five years IT Security
• You have Knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography.
• You have proven experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Hands-on experience in implementing security measures in these environments is essential
• You have a CISSP certification or will obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
• You follow process and show accountability to mitigate risk.
• You exhibit integrity, good judgement, honesty, and reliability.
• You are a life long learner and seek out ways to enhance your skill set and share with other.
• You provide an honest and transparent effort to deliver as promised.
• You provide excellent customer service to everyone you interact with.
