  • Manages internal systems, development, maintenance and repair of all IT systems, including the Data Networking Systems and Information Display Systems.
  • Administers the facility data network and voice system (VOIP).
  • Monitors and maintains the physical network and telecommunications equipment.
  • Supports and manages all phases of customer and end user support.
  • Oversees computer, telephone and internet training procedures for all users.
  • Provides complete computer services to all facility employees.
  • Maintains business office data/network/telephone equipment; install, modify, and remove equipment as necessary.
  • Interprets, applies and complies with all established industry established data and voice standards.
  • Prepares systems documentation and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintains and provides user assistance with all digital signage and outdoor marquee signage systems.
  • Responsible for project management and coordination with other local and corporate IT, sales and customer service departments, including proposal writing.
  • Manage technology-based renewal and replacement projects.
  • Maintain and propose capital and operational budgets.
  • Researches and recommends long term equipment improvements and replacement.
  • Purchases, installs, and maintains all data hardware and software for the facility network and individual employee desktops.
  • Purchases, installs, and maintains all voice system hardware and software
  • Oversees compliance and renewal of vendor service contracts specific to technical services.
  • Liaison to suppliers and vendors of technical equipment and services on behalf of the facility.
  • Collect and record inventory of equipment; maintain adequate stock or working equipment.
  • Research and recommend data/network/telecommunications equipment purchase and upgrades, and oversee installation of; look for and implement improvements in operating procedures.
  • Evaluate data/network/telephone services and activities; recommend improvements and modifications; prepare various reports on operations and activities.
  • Maintain, repair and operate data/network/telephone equipment including switch room and convention center cabling systems. Keep systems up to date with all patches and updates.
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of temporary technical staff.
  • Supervises and monitors the tech services work assigned to part-time staff, contractors, and engineers.
  • Manages day-to-day user issues, and facilitates effective team communication.
  • Plans procedures to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
  • Provides data/network/telephone connections for facility clients as required.
  • Determine data/network/telephone system requirements for scheduled events; install and removeevent related data/network/telephone equipment.
  • Plan and schedule needed equipment and personnel for events; meet with event services, operation and subcontractor staff to coordinate services.
  • Prepare event-related data/network/telephone orders for billing and record keeping.
  • Coordinates with Corporate IT and County IT departments, if applicable, to anticipate and resolve system problems that may arise.
  • Performs other functions and duties as assigned.


  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent experience.
  • Four to six years of experience in network/server administration and a familiarity with voice systems environments and associated billing systems.
  • Three to five years of management or professional leadership experience.
  • Documented experience managing information technology software applications and network development and operations.
  • Experience in project planning/management.
  • Vmware and virtualization experience.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills; ability to foster teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Ability to communicate with users possessing varying levels of computer experience.
  • Familiar with other disciplines including Card Access System, CCTV, Audio Visual and Digital Signage.
  • Thorough understanding of the following preferred (including latest versions): Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Software packages, IIS Web Server, Microsoft SQL, Symantec Backup Exec, LAN Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Photoshop, and other pertinent disciplines.
  • One or more of the following Certifications: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer); MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional); MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional); Comp-Tia A+ Certification; CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate); CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
  • Subcontract Management
  • Read, prepare, and interpret floor plans, set-up drawings and other specifications for systems. Be able to write specifications, manuals and working documents to assist users.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Willing and able to work flexible work schedule and long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

  • Able to work at heights of up 40-feet and lift up to 40-lbs. unaided.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, walk, climb, bend, stoop and stand for long periods
  • Must be able to speak, write and understand English so as to constantly communicate with clients and staff via email, in-person and telephone to exchange accurate information.
