Information Systems Security Officer, ISSO

Description

SAIC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide A&A and physical security support to a 24/7 Mission Operations Center. Primarily, this involves originating and authoring materials associated with the Customer A&A process for multiple projects. Candidates can also expect to perform the following duties:

• Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Assist ISSEs in performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation; provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
• Coordinate with ISSM Staff to manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes
• Prepare and review A&A BOE documentation for multiple projects
• Support security authorization activities in compliance with customer directives
• Heavy involvement with the supervision and implementation of customer required data transfer processes

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
• Minimum of 5 years of ISSO or ISSE experience
• 2 Years of writing experience, ideally technical writing
• Bachelor's Degree, or experience can be substituted for the degree
• Demonstrated experience in obtaining full accreditations of projects
• Experience with 1 or more of the following scanning tools: Rapid7, NMAP, and Nessus

Desired Qualifications:

• CISSP
• Security +
• Working knowledge of cryptographic solutions for Information Systems
• High level of expertise with Visio, Project, and Excel
