Role Summary:

Supports the business through management of all information technology resources, including team personnel, management tools, networkinfrastructure, data storage, ERP, EDI, telecommunications, servers, email, firewalls, security, operating systems, mobile devices, helpdesk, and financial resources. Responsibilities also include technology systems vendor management, strategic planning, security, disaster recovery, system metrics, asset management, software license compliance and auditing.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware/Software (Systems):

  • Manages hardware and software assets (Sage 100 ERP, Sage CRM, EDI, Drop Box, Web Dam, Microsoft Office, Misc Software & Hardware). Collaboratively designs IT solutions to achieve overall business goals
  • Oversees network planning, monitoring, maintenance and support (LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, CLOUD technologies, firewalls, switches)
  • Directs infrastructure planning and monitoring activities (Dell servers, Dell Switches, Disaster recovery, metrics)
  • Ensures security systems are in place and fully operational

Help Desk:

  • Directs end user support activities. Implements infrastructure and systems that support new business processes and/or services. Handles all escalations for hardware, software, network, telephony, and licensing

Communications & Reporting:

  • Oversees Office 365, user management, custom report writing, policies and procedures
  • Manages telephony planning, monitoring, maintenance and support (VOIP, PBX, FAX, MITEL, CUDATEL, POLYCOM, handsets, headsets, peripherals)
  • Crystal Reporting, business insights, business objects, or power pivot reporting: KPIs

Project Management:

  • Manages vendor relationships including hardware and software vendors; ensures that service level agreements are met
  • Develop and manage IT budget.
  • Develops and implements IT policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Mitigate risk and failures and implement fail safes for all technology
  • Managerial responsibilities include mentoring, coaching, and counseling colleagues. Hires, trains and develops new colleagues, as needed
  • Document processes, fixes, and errors
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Required Skills

  • Strong systems analysis skills and project management experience
  • Proficient with general computer software including ERP (Sage 100 is a plus) & Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational and speaking/communication skills. Able to effectively communicate visualizations & ask the right questions
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, result-driven & growth-oriented environment
  • Excellent independent problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work with little supervision and make independent decisions
  • Demonstrated track record of attention to detail
  • Ability to evaluate the technology solutions to the business needs of the organization and find the best possible tools/partners to meet those needs
  • Solid customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
  • Proven track record in working collaboratively with executive team to solve business problems

Required Experience

  • Minimum of seven years (7) of previous information technology or related experience
  • ERP, EDI, retail/consumer products, and small business experience necessary for success in role
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience

Salary

$80K - $110K
$80K - $110K base, Incentive/Profit Sharing Program bonus
