Key Deliverables:

  • Responsible for providing a reliable, secure, and maintained Windows and Linux infrastructure
  • A work environment with respect, honesty, and teamwork
  • Establish security procedures and documentation
  • Lean work processes within and across teams
  • Create, maintain and update documentation supporting the Windows and Linux infrastructure
  • Documented disaster recovery plans
  • Metrics for key deliverables 

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide senior level support for Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for all aspects of a Microsoft Windows infrastructure including:
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • File and Print services
    • Backup services
    • User and Group management
    • Group Policy
    • Office 365
    • Azure Cloud Services
  • Use, configure, and operate Microsoft System Center products (SCCM, SCOM, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Linux system administration
  • Citrix XenApp Administration
  • Perform daily system monitoring:
    • verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
    • reviewing system and application logs
    • verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware installation and upgrades, and patching as required.
  • Maintain security and integrity of supported system
  • Ensure preventative maintenance completed thoroughly and timely
  • Develop quality Disaster Recovery documentation
  • Participate in recovery drills and exercises (Disaster Recovery)
  • Continually look for ways to improve systems and team and implement Lean Thinking
  • Ensure adequate support availability for applications and systems
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend duties including on-call rotatio
  • Establish a positive relationship with the business to establish and fulfill business requirements
  • Collaborate across the department to create effective, cross-functional teams

  • Strong Troubleshooting skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Windows server Administration in an enterprise
  • Microsoft Active Director and Service administration in an enterprise (i.e. DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and file/print)
  • Backup services
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Citrix XenApp administration in an enterprise
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SCOM and SCCM
  • Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio)
  • Strong organization and process documentation skills
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Understanding of WAN / LAN applications
  • Familiar with establishing and reporting process metrics
  • Willingness to learn new tasks

 

Experience and Education:

  • High school graduate required
  • BS or BA degree in IT related field preferred
  • 5+ Years of Microsoft Windows administration experience in an enterprise
