Responsibilities for Information Security Engineer, MTS2
Responsible for the builds, configuration, and migration of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization of bare metal systems where applicable.
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Responsible for execution of migration strategies laid out by senior and management staff.
Qualifications for Information Security Engineer, MTS2
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
3-5 years’ experience with proxy administration / user troubleshooting
2-3 years system administration with Microsoft or Linux servers
1-2 years automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or other equivalent language
Experience with Anti-Virus or Data Loss Prevention tools a plus
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent, PCS and Nutanix is a plus.
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
Strong communication skills and proven ability to follow task and execution plans.
