Reporting to the Sr. Manager Information Security, you will monitor, evaluate and maintain standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure security of the organization's systems and information assets. Additionally, you will protect Gallo IT networks, systems, and applications against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of information.

What You Will Do

  • Determines causes of security violations; recommends and implements corrective actions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data
  • Develops tactical implementation plans of appropriate security methods and control techniques including but not limited to system, database and application security, data access, data encryption, logging and monitoring, data backup and recovery, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint security
  • Deploys, manages and tunes security tools to continuously improve the security of Gallo’s information environment. Work with other InfoSec team members to provide guidance and expertise around vulnerability management, access control systems, security operations and management, encryption technologies, logging and monitoring capabilities, and SaaS/Cloud related efforts
  • Conducts securityrisk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies, regulatory requirements and adherence to best practices
  • Prepares reports that document security findings and deficiencies, along with the likelihood of a breach, and the extent of damage that could result
  • Reviews results of penetration tests and provide recommendations for remediation
  • Provides technical & compliance expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff, in risk assessments and the implementation and operation of appropriate information security controls and compliance requirements

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering, plus 3 years of experience with information security, System Administration or equivalent with increasing levels of responsibility OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of experience in Information Security, System Administration or equivalent with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in IT systems
  • Strong analytical ability, communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients/customers, IT management and staff, vendors, consultants, and auditors

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering, plus 5 years of experience with data security reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Extensive professional experience in management and deployment of security tools
  • Extensive knowledge and experiencewith vulnerability assessment and remediation
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and protection techniques including encryption, WAF, MFA, network firewall, and enpoint security
