Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of the Navy's PEO C4I network and information security systems. The position will be responsible for monitoring PEO C4I program implementation of system security scanning and developing scan guidance, helping the organization implement processes and tools that ensure systems are patching via manual and automated tools, helping develop processes to ensure proper vulnerability remediation of systems during installation and/or System-of-systems Operational Testing (SOT), and helping monitor vulernability status on deployed/operations ships, subs, and shore sites. Requires knowledge of the RMF (Risk Management Framework) and/or DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process) processes. Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments. Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps. May recommend system enhancements to improve security deficiencies. Develops, tests and integrates computer and networksecurity tools. Secures system configurations and installs security tools, scans systems in order to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of C4I networksecurityarchitectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. Evaluates, develops and enhances security requirements, policy and tools.
Bachelor's (or equivalent years of experience) in a technical discipline with 5 - 8yrs of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 yrs of experience.
Must have a COMPTIA Security+ or equivalent
Strong understanding of system vulnerability management and methods for patching vulernabilities.
Knowledge of SPAWAR/PEO C4I a plus.
Knowledge of the VRAM and SAILOR databases.
