LinQuest Corporation is seeking an Information Assurance Security Architect Engineer (IASAE) to join our team at Peterson AFB,O. The team is a high-performance team supporting the 21st Space Wing. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in the cyber arena and current knowledge of 21st Space Wing weapon systems and Department of Defense Defensive Cyber Operations tools and requirements. The Wing requires support to lead the development of Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) requirements for their systems to establish a DCO baseline. As DCO software/hardware are acquired, this candidate will assist in supporting training, development of TTPs etc., as DCO operations mature. You will serve as the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) SME to the 21 OG Technical Director (21 OG/TD) and assist and advise on aspects of 21 OG's key cyber terrain across all mission systems, providing support to cyber architecture analysis, establishment of Mission Defense Teams (MDT), provide recommendations on cyber defense tool integration, and assist with implementation, tuning, and introduction of MDT's to the applications and use of the tools.
Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Support: The employee will act as the DCO SME to the 21 OG/Technical Director (TD). The employee will assist and advise on aspects of 21 OG's key cyber terrain across all mission systems, providing support to cyber architecture analysis, establishment of Mission Defense Teams (MDT), provide recommendations on cyber defense tool integration, and assist with implementation, tuning, and introduction of MDT's to the applications and use of the tools. The employee will assist in integrating and optimizing the MDT-Toolkit, as needed. Optimization shall include activities to enhance the defensive cyber capabilities on the weapon system and to secure the MDT-TK itself.
The employee should possess current knowledge/experience, familiarity with Space Ground Systems, and experience with the Air Force customer and have a background in System Administration, Network Administration, and/or Cyber Engineering. The employee will use familiarity with the operational environment, cyber tools, and administration to monitor numerous tools with intent to advise the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Mission Teams of anomalies, issues or concerns. The employee will understand potential threats and filter log noise created by the applications and data flows.
Daily Operations once DCO architecture is established and operational: The employee will maintain integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks by performing the following functions:
Ensure that the cybersecurity architecture and design of the customer's systems shall be functional and secure with the ability to detect and respond to Cyber events
Coordinate resources during enterprise incident response efforts
Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events for DCO situational awareness, attack sensing and warning to include incident reporting/response & analysis
Define system security requirements, assesses system security architecture designs, and support the development and sustainment of an enterprise level Risk Management Framework (RMF) program
Support cybersecurity activities for space, ground, operations, logistics, and sustainment elements of the enterprise by identifying risks, issues, and interdependencies between system elements, contracts and stakeholders
Develop Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP's) to monitor, identify, respond, and protect the systems from cyber-attacks
Perform network traffic analysis as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networks
Technical Services: The employee will provide technical services in support of Defensive Cyber Operations for the 21 SW Mission Systems as described in the following areas:
Execute and evolve Government-approved enterprise Cybersecurity programs in accordance with (IAW) D0DI 8510.01 and DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management
Perform all Level 1-3 Cybersecurity System Architect and Engineer duties IAW DoDD 8140.01 or its approved revised successor
Assist in evolving the 21SW Cybersecurity Strategic Vision IAW D0DI 8510.01 for DoD Information Technology, as directed by the government
Review and assess the Cybersecurity certification programs at the intra-program level IAW DoDD 8140.01 or its approved revised successor
Make recommendations to evolve the Enterprise Cybersecurity architecture functional description and receive inputs to set-up/maintain Cybersecurity diagram views
10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with 5+ years of experience in DoD information systems
Must possess current knowledge/experience, familiarity with Space Ground Systems, and experience with the Air Force customer and have a background in System Administration, Network Administration, and/or Cyber Engineering
Familiarity with D0DI 8510.01 and DoDD 8140.01 mandatory
Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Clear and concise written and verbal communications skills
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent experience required
IAW OASIS contract vehicle, degrees may be substituted with additional 6 years of experience
Must be certified in one of the following:
Experience with Linux and Kali Linux preferred.
