Our client's Information Security Office (ISO) is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Security Engineer to plan, design and lead efforts around various security solutions. You should be well-versed in the securityengineering domain and will be expected to stay informed of current technologies to contribute to the life-cycle management processes. You will assist in developing strategies & long term plans and in driving the design and integration of solutions. You will work to improve the security posture of our client by partnering with your ISO peers to identify and deliver secure solutions that close the gap and meet or exceed defined control objectives.
Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Platform Teams to design, test and develop deployment plans for data securitytechnologies
Support lifecycle management and Contribute to IT Strategies for security solutions to include technology roadmaps
Assist in defining the operational processes and metrics required to create and maintain highly effective, well-performing security platforms
Lead key conversations among internal and external stakeholders
Maintain expertise in security domains to provide relevant solutions
Perform proof of concepts of new securitytechnologies
Evaluate existing securitytechnologies to identify opportunities for extracting more value and/or consolidation
High school diplomarequired; Bachelordegreepreferred.
Minimum of 5years’ experience working as an information security engineer
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered; 10+ years in information security without a degree.
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering security solutions
Ability to engage in technical discussions that establish trust among customers and team members
Self-motivated and self-directed while working within a framework to accomplish desired outcomes
Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Takes on challenges and calculated risks to improve our technologies, processes, and services
Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions
Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies
Thinks broadly about issues and options before choosing a solution or path and can explain to stakeholders why a solution/path was chosen
Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
Knowledge of technical writing preferred
