This position will help drive expansion ramps as well continuous improvement opportunities to drive the key performance indicators of the company. The IE position serves as a connection point between functional groups within the operations sphere providing experience with professionals in Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Logistics, Finance, and Engineering.
Support a broad range of projects to accomplish the tactical and strategic goals of a Wafer Fab within a functional area. The potential candidate will lead cross-functional teams to make improvements for processes and procedures. Interact with personnel in all process areas of our wafer fabrication facility in Woburn, Massachusetts. Must convey professional image with the ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels of associates in a team environment.
Analytical problem solving skills will be used to identify factory bottlenecks, optimize WIP flow and tool utilization and improving overall equipment effectiveness. Must be able to operate in fast-paced operations with the ability to handle several challenges at the same time, have excellent organizational, project management and people skills. This position will require engineers to identify and anticipate problems and opportunities for improvement, and then implement solutions to improve our processes.
Responsibilities include developing capacity models based on time studies and using mathematical modeling to calculate/predict both short & long term capacity requirements for the wafer fab. Candidate will also coordinate project management functions during equipment installations and ramp activities. Leadership of cross-functional teams for various problem solving will also be required at times.

Typical Project Assignments
•Project management of new capital installations and existing tool relocations
•Workstation setup and optimization
•Maximize constraint tool productivity
•Maintain the accuracy of the capacity model
•Perform capital equipment throughput analysis
•Participate in tool level optimization studies for throughput enhancements
•Improve equipment utilization and OEE leveraging Six Sigma process management techniques (DMAIC, etc)
•Initiate and drive Cycle Time reduction projects utilizing ToC and Queueing Theory concepts
Job & Educational Requirements:
•Thorough knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts, practices, and principles
•Previous experience in a semiconductor environment. (Preferred)
•Understanding of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, theory of constraints, etc)
•Outstanding communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written)
•Possess Project Management skills
•Work across multiple teams, coordinate timelines, evaluate and communicate risks, track performance and progress
•Communicate the project progress regularly to stakeholders, team members and sponsors.
•Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•Ability to use software models to solve problems
•A can-do attitude
•Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure
•AutoCADexperience is a plus
•Excel macro and automation experience is a plus
•BS in Industrial Engineering required (5+ years), MSpreferred
